One of India’s most colourful festivals is just around the corner and Sunehra, meaning golden, seemed like the perfect way to begin the festivities.
Holi, known as the festival of colours, marks the beginning of spring in India. It’s a day when family and friends get together and celebrate with water, colour and lots of yummy food. Sunehra is worked in colours that are often used while playing Holi, very typically the pink or Gulal. For a festival that’s popularly played outdoors, the beautiful splash of colours in this wrap brings Holi right home to me.
This shawl is worked with the gorgeous Beyul Fingering from Kettle Yarn Co. The colours shown here are Citrine, Electric Amaranth and Auburn.
SOOOOO Beautiful!!! Love the COLORS, the shape, the lace–EVERYTHING!
Thank you 🙂
